IceBear, painter, sculptor, and muralist, is known for his magical images
and for his mastery of many styles and genres, choosing his methods,
style and media according to the subject matter at hand. Here you will find art about spirituality, history, wildlife, and community. A voice for Mother Earth. Images to inspire, to encourage dialogue, to aid in understanding each other and the world around us. Stories of warriors and shamen,
the furry and the feathered, great open spaces and
the small dark corners of our world and minds.

On entering an IceBear exhibition, some people have trouble
realizing that all the works are by the same artist. You will find acrylic paintings on canvas, bronze sculpture, mixed media creations of both 2 and 3 dimensions, limited edition giclees. Abstract and representational techniques fused together for an amazing juxtaposition of
contrasting and complimentary images.

A word from the Artist
For me, to ever be confined to one genre, palette, or family of products would be impossibly stifling. The creation of Art is a lifelong adventure, to be explored and savoured. Each vision has a life and presence of its own, and demands its own unique way of being presented to the world.
My thanks to the folks at the Pacific NorthWest Raptor Centre for their patience in letting me meet, photograph and sketch their birds, which are the models for the new wildlife paintings. I never realized what individual personalities owls, eagles and hawks had until I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with those that live at the centre.
I would also like to thank my friends Ed Peekeekoot and Kevin Locke for allowing me to use some of their magical music on this site; I hope you will take the time to hear them and visit their sites as well.
                                                                                           IceBear
